Tranquility, Meat, Drink and the Sea – top three Dar Es Salaam Beach Accommodation musts!
At Pachikonjo Beach Resort, we offer the most tranquil Dar Es Salaam Beach Accommodation on the south side of the city. What we can offer you is more than a simple bed to lay your head down, a room to unpack your bags and a roof over your head to stop the rain pouring in. The main feature in our accommodation is a large beach house traditionally thatched and constructed around a wooden frame- all of the materials used were locally sourced from the surrounding area and grown by nature. The best part about it is that it really does make you feel part of mother nature; exactly what Tanzania is famous for. There is the cool blowing wind which rustles the leaves outside providing a cool kiss in the hot night. The Beach House has been constructed perfectly as a shade from the baking sun in the day without feeling cooped up indoors. Our balcony is the best place to sit in the morning for a morning coffee or for an evening nightcap- we personally love to (when we were the only people in the place) put a mattress outside on the balcony for an afternoon nap.
Unlike other Dar Es Salaam Beach Accommodation, we have a purpose-built preparation area for food and two industrial fridge/freezers for your meat, beer, soda or wine. We have a BBQ area which is a very short walk into the shade under the trees, at the north side of the house, which is perfect for the family get together. Our favourite weekend pastime is to get the whole family around, fill the fridges and put a rack of ribs on the grill while catching up with everybody. Even if you are on your own the shaded BBQ area is quiet and peaceful – ideal for a quiet beer or couples retreat.
It isn’t unusual for Dar Es Salaam Accommodation to be close to the beach, but there aren’t many that sit on the top of a cliff like ours does. We have the best views of the sea and dramatic landscape – better than any other Dar Es Salaam beach accommodation. Recently Pachikonjo has invested in the addition of a staircase to give everyone who stays with us safe access to the sea. Every morning you can wander down and walk along the beach amongst the sand crabs or for a morning swim to start off the day. There is honestly nothing better than a refreshing swim, especially as the water is so clean – if you are a resident in Dar Es Salaam you will know the pain of looking at a slimy, plastic filled sea that doesn’t particularly smell like sea water. Pachikonjo on the south side is almost completely immune from plastics and rubbish.
There are so many reasons to come to our favorite Dar Es Salaam Beach Accommodation and we will keep letting you know our favorites.
